The Unofficial Aftershow to The T.O. Show

Real Talk strikes again!

The Unofficial Aftershow to The T.O. Show

Last night I risked my IQ and watched the first episode of T.O. new reality TV show.

First of all let me start by saying that the first episode was not what I was expecting.  Some true insight was given about the flamboyant athlete.  He seems to have a genuine love for the game and seemingly heartbroken over being released by the Dallas Cowboys.  This was evident through the written on...

The T.O. Show - Are you serious?

Posted by Kimberly Powell on Thursday, July 23, 2009 In : Real Talk Radio

Real Talk!

Let's talk about Terrell Owens aka T.O.

I would have to say I felt outraged when I first saw the previews for the T.O. Show.  Like what the hay!?  Are you serious?!  That's all I can say, are you serious right now?  I am so sick of ignorant behavior being rewarded with a television show!  First it was Flava Flav, the I Love New York, and now The T.O. Show.  Are you serious right now?  Terrell Owens is one of the ignorant black men the media loves to interview because they know he wil...

When it hurts so bad: How do you deal with the death of a loved one?

Posted by Kimberly Powell on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 In : Something on My Mind
Time for a change of pace.........

When It Hurts So Bad

This week in a tragic accident Mike Tyson's four year old daughter Exodus died.  My first thought was, "Oh my god that is just a baby".  My second thought was, "CJ is four years old".  CJ is my nephew and he is always into something.  I can't imagine loosing him at such a young age and I am only his aunt.  What about his mother and father?  How would they deal with the loss?  I've been told there is no greater pain than to bury a child.  I...

Confessions of a Cheater

Confessions of a Cheater

Cheating is defined as an act of lying, deception,
fraud, trickery, imposture, or imposition. Cheating characteristically is employed to create an unfair advantage, usually in one's own interest, and often at the expense of others according to Wikipedia.

Worldwide cheating and the act of catching cheaters has become an obession in a sense.  In fact there is a popular TV show, Cheaters, that is devoted entirely to catching cheaters.  However, as popular as cheating and ...

Want It Need It

Posted by Kimberly Powell on Monday, May 4, 2009 In : Thought for the Week
Hello! Hello!

This week I have been thinking about wants and needs a lot which brings me to the Thought for the Week.  What did Plies say, "Want it, Need it".....I've been thinking about those two occasions.

As I think about the kind of man I want; I reflect on the kind of man I need.  And I have realized that what I want and what I need match about 90 percent.  Since the match is only 90 percent, decisions have to be made about the other 10 percent.  You can either give up 10 percent of happin...

Main Chick, Side Chick, or Groupie Part 3 - The Women Respond

Posted by Kimberly Powell on Thursday, April 30, 2009 In : Thought for the Week
I asked for a response from the ladies and they have spoken.

Main Chicks, Side Chicks, or Groupies - How do you identify?

Sunshine
(South GA)

My problem is I am TopShelf (MAINCHICK material) But I find that most men only want side chicks or groupies and I refuse to downgrade. How do you get men to notice that you are a main chick? I think the problem is most men don't know when they are experiencing the main chick because women downgrade to try to trick men into  lasting relationships.
Ladies d...

Main Chick, Side Chick, or Groupie!
Which one are you in your own life?

There are three roles you can play in your professional and personal life.  You can either be the Main Chick, Side Chick, or the Groupie.  So my question to you is, what role are you playing?  Okay, here's a better question, do you know what role you are playing?  How happy are you with your role?

When it comes to being the star of your life you have to make sure you only booking roles that you want.  If you want to be a fif...

Where do broken hearts go?

Posted by Kimberly Powell on Sunday, April 19, 2009 In : Something on My Mind
Where do broken hearts go?  Whitney asked this question years ago and I am wondering if she ever found an answer.  This would really help me out.  What happens to your heart after its been broken?  Does it ever really heal?  Does it ever find its way back home?

These questions have been bothering me all week.  I'm not really sure why other than the fact that I have had my heart broken one too many times.  Some people have their hearts broken several times but always seem to bounce back quickly...
